Mt. Hope Ragdolls

I bought my first Ragdoll as a pet in 1990. After having her for less than one week, my husband (who was NOT a cat lover) said, "When are we going to get another?" That was the beginning of a wonderful experience for myself, my husband and at the time, three children. I now have five children. During that time I was waiting for my second kitten, I decided to try my hand at breeding. I switched my order from a second female to a male (as with Ragdolls you must own a pair - no stud service!!) I now have an extensive breeding program and I am shipping cats worldwide.

All of my Ragdolls live very comfortably in our home. The females have free run of the house with any kittens I might have. I do separate the males in order to control the breeding as I only breed my females once per year in order not to drag them down with the emotional and physical stress pregnancy and kittens can cause. The cats are our pets first and they each have a bed to snuggle up in at night! My husband and I are always amazed come evening to find five or six Ragdolls snuggled with my 5 year old daughter as she keeps them very busy during the course of the day with doll carriage rides, tea parties, playing house, etc. The cats, believe it or not seem to enjoy this and none of the cats have EVER hissed, scratched or swatted at any of my children.

My children are however taught respect for life and/ or cats from the time the ldttens are very young. All my Ragdolls are raised with much love and attention and NEVER CAGED!!!!
I give a full written health guarantee and written contract on each kitten/cat sold.

Ragdolls are great with other animals. They adapt very easily to new surroundings and they make good travelers. Because of the non-aggressive nature, Ragdolls should NEVER be let outdoors. They are very content, for the most part, to remain indoors. I have no trouble with my cats staying inside and I do believe-they prefer it as long as there is a window or two for fresh air and bird watching. Because of this they make great apartment dwellers.
